Robert Pires issues a come-and-get-me plea to Championship promotion hopefuls

Arsenal legend Robert Pires has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Championship leaders QPR and Cardiff.

And the France winger, a free agent since released by Villarreal insummer, revealed he will quit football if he has not found a new clubby next February.

Pires, who has been training with Arsenal, also said Arsene Wengerhas closed the door on a return to the Gunners as they have sufficientmidfielders.

The 37-year-old won two Premier League titles, three FA Cup and the2002 Footballer of the Year prize during his six-year stay in NorthLondon.

'I am open to all offers, and if there is an opportunity with a goodteam in the Championship that is pushing for promotion then why not?'
