Real Madrid loanee Jose Antonio Reyes has voiced his intention to stay in Spain, signalling an end to his abortive career with Arsenal.
Reyes joined the Gunners in January 2004 for £10.5million from Sevilla, but failed to settle in England, despite scoring 23 goals in 110 appearances for Arsenal.
He is currently on a season-long loan at Real and hopes to make that a permanent deal in the near future.
He told FourFourTwo magazine: "I do not think I failed in the Premiership, but for players like me English football is very hard. It really does not suit me.
"The whole football culture is very different there. I struggled to adapt to England and so did my family.
"I would not say it is a relief to be back in Spain, but I am happy here. I do not even want to think about going back.
"I always wanted to come to Real Madrid and would love to end my career here."
