Arsenal's Jose Antonio Reyes has reiterated his desire to stay in Spain with Real Madrid and not return to north London at the end of the season.
Reyes is coming towards the end of a season-long loan at the Bernabeu and is desperate to make his temporary stay into a permanent switch.
The Spain international has earned mixed reviews during his time with the struggling La Liga club and is currently sidelined with knee ligament damage.
The 23-year-old has started only 14 league matches and scored three times during his time in Spain, but is desperate to prove his worth to Real and earn a full-time move to Madrid.
"The end of the season is just around the corner, so I have to prove my worth," he admitted.
"But I am not worried because I know the club has faith in me and vice-versa. We have to win and then we'll talk at the end of the season.
"I wanted to play here and I hope to stay, but whatever happens, I will never mention the word 'failure'."
The former Sevilla forward has also set his sights on a return to first-team action ahead of this weekend's clash with Celta Vigo.
"I am running well and participated in a practice match with the team. My knee feels strong, so hopefully I make the next squad list," he added.
