Real Madrid winger on the radar for Arsenal

Real Madrid have assembled an expensive team full of some of the most gifted players playing in the European leagues. This does mean with squad limits that top players are also going the other way. This increased player turnover can only be good news for clubs looking for top talent. One player uncertain of his future is the 26-year-old Argentinian winger Anger Di Maria.

There has been speculation over his future since the arrival of the Welsh wizard Gareth Bale at the Bernabeu and despite playing a key role in his side’s success it remains to be seen if there is a future for the player at Real Madrid for the 2014-2015 season.

A number of publishers including The Independent have speculated as to his future with reported interest from Arsenal and Manchester United and even put the question to the player:

“I've asked my agent not to tell me anything about the talks he's having,” said Di Maria.

“I don't know what's going to happen with my career. I don't want to know anything about my future right now.

The 26-year-old winger has been in sparkling form for Argentina at the World Cup and helped Real to the Champions League and Copa del Rey double scoring 11 goals and making 26 assists along the way. The player went on to say:

“I'm focusing on my national team and not on what's going on elsewhere,” he added.

“My team-mates and I don't read or listen to all the things being said in the media.

“We're just thinking about ourselves and the unity of the group.”

Argentina have been steadily improving as the tournament has progressed and despite only showing glimpses of their full potential have qualified for the knockout stage.
