Patrick Vieira: Arsenal have more hope winning the title than Manchester City

Patrick Vieira insists Manchester City aren't ready to win the title and believes that his trophy-shy former club Arsenal are more likely to lift the crown than his big-spending employers.[LNB]The veteran midfielder is confident that City are growing into a club that can muscle in on the English elite, but he warned fans not to get carried away.[LNB]'We are a team under construction, with huge individuals and group that is gradually taking shape,' he told French newspaper Dauphine Libere. [LNB] Old flame: City midfielder Vieira insists his former club Arsenal have a better chance of winning the title than he current employers[LNB]'The results have been quite good but we have to hang on.[LNB]'It is too early to tell if we can knock down the hierarchy established by Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.[LNB]'It is possible, because our line-up lets us believe it even if these three teams have more stability.[LNB]'The title will certainly be decided between them, but Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City are capable of giving them doubts.'[LNB]At 34, Vieira feels privileged to be back in the Barclays Premier League and watching young team grow around him.[LNB]The hardman who made his name with the Gunners insists he still has the enthusiasm of a child and hopes to get plenty of games this season, but he admits that it could be time to hang up his boots come May.[LNB] 'Thank God that I'm fine physically,' he said. 'But competition is tough in my position and the youngsters are developing. I still want to play. [LNB]'At 34, a return to France would now be complicated and there is a good chance my career will finish here, at Manchester City, this season or next.'[LNB]Vieira has started just one Premier League game this season but impressed when playing 90 minutes in the 1-1 Europa League match against Juventus at Eastlands.[LNB]Against the Italians, the Frenchman was part of a defensive-looking midfield triumvirate that has become the norm in Robert Mancini's line-ups this season, but the City boss has told critics that caution has been unavoidable.[LNB]'It's out of necessity,' he said, citing injuries to his forwards and attack-minded new full backs. 'Emmanuel Adebayor has just recovered from injury, but Mario Balotelli hasn't.[LNB]'And without flying full backs like Jerome Boateng and Aleksandar Kolarov, who can push forward, I've had to adjust the team to get results.
