POSITION: Right Winger

CLUB: Arsenal

MARKET VALUE: £500,000

Serge Gnabry is a relatively unknown player with even some Gunners fans unaware of the potential of one of their hottest prospects. Despite limited first team opportunities, Gnabry has impressed Arsenal coaches who are eager to unleash his potential.

Arsene Wenger is an admirer of Gnabry and is confident that the German can be a first team regular in years to come. Gnabry has already left his mark on Germany’s youth teams. He left Stuttgart at a very young age in making the move to the Premier League. After scouting Gnabry since the age of 14, he moved to London in 2011.

Gnabry has adapted to life in England quickly and has pace and quality technique. He can operate all over the midfield and in the attack but his preferred position is on the right wing. He signed professional terms in July 2012 and made his debut against Norwich.

Gnabry has been likened to Julian Draxler and Mario Gotze but has yet to receive a call up to the senior German squad. This is not a surprise due to the impressive pool of midfielders Joachim Low has at his disposable but also Gnabry’s tender age.

The 18 year old has a long way to go but if he can steadily continue his development he is set to be a player for the future.
