Olsson bags Baggies to bounce back

Jonas Olsson insists the Carling Cup defeat to Arsenal will in no way derail what West Brom are looking to achieve in the Championship. The 2-0 reverse at the Emirates Stadium was Albion`s first of the season and the first time head coach Roberto Di Matteo has ended up on the losing side in a competitive fixture since taking charge at the club. But centre-back Olsson is adamant he and his team-mates can be proud as they get back to league matters against Crystal Palace this weekend looking to strengthen their grip at the top of the table. The Swede told West Brom`s official website: "This won`t affect us in the league, you have to look at how we played. We weren`t smashed at Arsenal, we played a great team with 10 men, we showed we`re in good shape. It wasn`t to be on Tuesday but we gave as good as we got. "The gaffer was disappointed we lost because he wanted to maintain the unbeaten record but he knows you can lose in different kinds of ways. We did okay against Arsenal and the players have shown we are inspired by him (Di Matteo)." Olsson added: "This reminds us of what we are missing. It was an inspiration for us knowing we were there (at the Emirates) last year and if we do well this season then we could be again next year. That is where we want to be."
