Olivier Giroud ask Arsenal fans to be patient after goalless draw

Olivier Giroud has pleaded with Arsenal fans to give the new-look side more time to gel after their goalless draw with Stoke. The Gunners are yet to find the back of the net in 180 minutes of Barclays Premier League football after squandering a number of great opportunities at the Britannia Stadium and at home to Sunderland the previous week.  And while the performances have been impressive, the end product is lacking. Wasteful: Giroud squandered a gilt-edged chance at Stoke   But Giroud believes the club will start finding the back of the net soon, despite wasting his team's best chance of the game.   'I hoped it would go in,' he said afterwards in ever-improving English. 'I saw the keeper off his line and I did not see Aaron (in the middle) for a cross. So I tried to take my chance.'(It means) we have to wait for our (first) victory. But it is coming soon. We played well and had some good situations in front of goal. We just have to score now - me too.'But I gave it all today. It was a hard game against a big team. But I felt good in the game and we missed one little thing - a goal.'But there are a lot of good players here at Arsenal. It is easy to play with them. We need a little more time to come together.' Eyes wide shut: Giroud has asked Arsenal fans to be patient
