Arsenal have been told to forget about bolstering their attacking options with Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh in January.
The Morocco international was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League with both the Gunners and West Ham United during the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old hot-shot has again been mentioned as a possible transfer target for the north London club in January after Robin van Persie was ruled out for up to five months with an ankle ligament injury.
However, Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud is taking a firm stance with his coveted frontman.
When asked about potential interest from Arsenal, he replied: "I have heard nothing on the subject. As far as we are concerned, it is out of the question.
"Marouane is a key player for us and we have important challenges in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
"We would not act against the wishes of our manager Laurent Blanc either."
