No FA action over Wilsheres Mirallas spat

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere and Everton forward Kevin Mirallas have escaped punishment from the Football Association after their tunnel row during Tuesday's 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

Mirallas sparked a half-time confrontation with Wilshere when he appeared to squirt water at the England international as the players made their way off the field.

Wilshere, just back from a six-week injury lay-off, reacted angrily and Everton players stepped in to prevent a direct confrontation.

But referee Neil Swarbrick did not feel the incident warranted further action, so neither player will face sanction.

The bust-up came at the end of a stormy half which saw Arsenal ruffled by Everton's physical tactics.

Wilshere was singled out for some strong challenges and Gunners manager Arsene Wenger felt Everton's Darron Gibson could have been sent off.
