Chamakh, who will become a free agent once his contract expires in the summer, has long been linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 giants and has always professed his desire to move across the Channel.[LNB]Reports this week suggested the Morocco international had signed a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal, who were one of the clubs to have a bid for the forward turned down last summer.[LNB]Gunners manager Arsene Wenger maintained on Tuesday that no deal has yet been done and Chamakh insists that is the case for the time being.[LNB]"It was announced to me that I'd signed for Arsenal...I formally deny that," he told French reporters. "But as the days pass I feel less and less a Bordeaux player.[LNB]"It's true that there are contacts with several english clubs, of which Arsenal is one of them. But I deny that there is any signature.[LNB]"I haven't signed anything yet. As soon as I have something concrete to announce, you will be the first to know.[LNB]"Here, the source comes from England. It's just hearsay.[LNB]"We're in talks. There's contacts, that's true, but no signature."[LNB]Chamakh was Bordeaux's leading goalscorer last season as he fired them to the league title.[LNB]The 26-year-old has scored nine goals so far this season.[LNB][LNB]
