Crystal Palace's hopes of cashing in on highly-rated Victor Moses have been thrown into doubt after the club's latest financial misdemeanour.[LNB]Palace players were supposed to be paid on Thursday but, for the fourth occasion this season, they were left waiting for their money.[LNB] Target man: Victor Moses could leave Crystal Palace for nothing[LNB]Fears: Palace boss Neil Warnock[LNB]Under the terms of their Football League contracts, if the players have not been paid within 14 days of their normal pay date, the club would be in breach of contract.[LNB]This would allow the Palace players to leave the club for nothing provided each player puts their request in writing and gains permission from the Football League.[LNB]And it is understood Moses advisers have given serious consideration to handing in a letter to Palace confirming his intention to walk away from the club for nothing if he isn't paid by January 14.[LNB]The possibility of the 19-year-old leaving for free could have brutal consequences for hard-up Palace, though the likelihood is that the club would fork out his £3,000-per-week wages before it reached that point.[LNB]Chairman Simon Jordan knows he must sell £5million-rated Moses this month to bankroll the club until the end of the season or until he finds a buyer for the south Londoners.[LNB]Jordan knows the club are unlikely to receive their £5m asking price - and would settle for a fee of around £3m as a short-term quick fix.[LNB]West Bromwich have already tabled a £1.5m bid for Moses but Palace are desperately keeping their fingers crossed for a higher fee.[LNB]Manchester City football administrator Brian Marwood has approached Palace and will send scouts to watch Moses this month - though they would look to loan him out on arrival. Liverpool, Tottenham, Birmingham, Wigan, Everton and Arsenal have also shown an interest.[LNB] EXCLUSIVE: Roma join the race for Crystal Palace whizkid Victor MosesReading 2 Crystal Palace 4: Moses piles more pressure on Brendan RodgersPalace put entire squad up for sale: Wigan and Sunderland target Ambrose [LNB]
