Mixed feelings for Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had mixed feelings after seeing his side draw 4-4 with Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Four goals from Andrey Arshavin put a huge dent in Liverpool's title chances as an eight-goal thriller on Merseyside ended in stalemate.

But having led 4-3 in stoppage-time, Wenger felt his injury-ravaged side should have held on to secure all three points.

"We are half happy because we scored four goals and half unhappy because we conceded four," he said.

"Also, 4-3 up with two minutes to go the team is disappointed, but I give credit to my team for a great performance tonight."

Meanwhile, Wenger hailed the performance of Russia star Arshavin, who he signed from Zenit St Petersburg in January.

"He can play everywhere, like all the great players," added the Frenchman.

"He scored four goals but he was at the end of some good combination play.

"He has a lot of tricks and a short backlift and that makes him very dangerous."
