Milner set to snub City stay for Arsenal future

The 29-year-old Man City defender becomes a free agent next month with Roma, Arsenal and Liverpool all interested in the progress of talks with City looking to persuade the England international to stay.

According to the Star, City are looking at offering a generous four-year deal worth an incredible £165,000-per-week with extra bonuses and incentives on top. It’s a deal that would put Milner in the elite bracket of Premier League earners and only behind Aguero and Toure at the Etihad.

The report in the Star however states that Milner could be prepared to turn down such an offer and leave City as a free-agent with Arsenal and Liverpool looking interested in taking on the star for less. Whilst there is interest from Roma it is understood that Milner is not interested in moving abroad. With further talks with his agent Matthew Buck scheduled for next week it is understood that Milner will make a decision on his future after that.

Milner has made 44 appearances this season with 27 as a starter which is an improvement on 21 from last term with the player insisting his decision would be influenced by the amount of game time he got with City.
