Milan may return for Adebayor

AC Milan could yet resurrect their interest in Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Italian club's vice-president Adriano Galliani has revealed that Wolfsburg's Bosnia striker Edin Dzeko remains their number one transfer target this summer.

However, Galliani has suggested that the Rossoneri will refocus their attention on Adebayor should they fail to land Dzeko.

The Togo international was strongly linked with a £20million move to the San Siro 12 months ago but ultimately remained with the Gunners.

"We are only looking for a forward and our aim is Dzeko," said Galliani.

"He is a Wolfsburg player and they have a right to keep him - even though he continues to claim that his desire is to come to Milan.

"From experience, I know it's difficult to keep a player whose wish is to leave.

"If we fail to get Dzeko then (Sevilla striker) Luis Fabiano could be an alternative as could Adebayor."
