Roberto Martinez believes his Wigan side learnt from recent defeats to Manchester United and Arsenal as they beat Chelsea 3-1.[LNB]The home side chalked up their first victory against one of the top four in 35 attempts with a 3-1 win after goals from Titus Bramble, Hugo Rodallega (penalty) and Paul Scharner.[LNB]Didier Drogba had got Chelsea on level terms after the break but Wigan were back in front from the spot as Petr Cech was sent off for tripping Rodallega in the 53rd minute.[LNB]Martinez said: "When you are Wigan and playing against the top four you have options, you can be brave and beat them or you can get hammered.[LNB]"That is what happened. We were beaten 4-0 and 5-0 (by Arsenal and Man Utd) and the only reason we won is because we learned our lessons.[LNB]"We have been brave from the first moment and no-one can say we did not deserve the win. That is a big compliment to our club."
