Marouane Chamakh vows to be Arsenal's Wayne Rooney or Didier Drogba

Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh is determined to become a legend at the Emirates Stadium. Chamakh has scored 10 goals for the Gunners since arriving from Bordeaux in the summer but he insists his best is yet to come. The 26-year-old wants to become as important for the north Londoners as Wayne Rooney to Manchester United and Didier Drogba at Chelsea. Making his mark: Striker Chamakh has enjoyed a steady start to life with Arsenal He said: 'I know I have the ability and through hard work I can improve my game. I think I haven't reached their level yet but I will get there one day. This will happen if I keep focused and if I carry on working hard. 'I don't feel inferior to them but they've worked really hard to get where they are.' The Morocco international signed a four-year deal after joining on a free transfer and has settled in north London with the help of team-mates Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas. 'We have got on really well together since the start of pre-season,' Chamakh said of Nasri. I want to be like you: Chamakh gets a close look at Rooney at Old Trafford 'He has been like a brother to me. He took care of me, really helped me, took me out and invited me to his house to watch World Cup matches. 'I love to play with Fabregas. He is a fantastic kid. I didn't really know him before I arrived here. In the few matches we have played together, I have found a player with fantastic talent, great vision and a very rare quality of passing. 'Yohann Gourcuff (at Bordeaux) was superb, but when I see that I play with Nasri, Fabregas, (Abou) Diaby or the little (Jack) Wilshere, an adorable kid, I can say that I am very lucky.'  Wenger warns fans 'don't expect miracles' during January transfer windowChelsea are our only rivals for the title, claims Manchester United winger NaniYou're the real Golden Boy, Jack!
