Manuel Almunia warns Arsenal: We need six of the best to win Premier League
Optimist: Manuel Almunia believes Arsenal can still win the league title despite the slip up at St Andrews[LNB]Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia has warned his team-mates they must win all six of their remaining Barclays Premier League matches if they are to pip Manchester United and Chelsea to the title. [LNB] The Gunners sit four points behind leaders United after a disappointing 1-1 draw at Birmingham on Saturday. [LNB] Arsene Wenger's side will have to overcome the likes of Manchester City and north London rivals Tottenham if they are to win the league while success in the Champions League is in the balance after last night's 2-2 quarter-final first leg draw with Barcelona. [LNB]They may have to do without Cesc Fabregas (leg) and William Gallas (calf) after the key duo picked up season-threatening injuries during last night's pulsating encounter.[LNB]Despite their injury worries, Almunia believes Arsenal are capable of lifting their first championship since 2004 but admits they will have to win every remaining game to do so. [LNB] 'We have six games left now and we must record six victories,' said the Spaniard. 'We'll have to wait to see if Manchester United drop points as well but we still have a chance of winning it. We just have to win our six games and see what happens.'[LNB] Almunia had to pull of some important saves during last night's game as Arsenal came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 thanks to a fine finish from substitute Theo Walcott and a late Fabregas penalty. [LNB] Almunia praised his team-mates for showing the character to fight back but warned them that they will have to improve if they are to get a result in Barcelona next Tuesday.[LNB]'It was my busiest game for Arsenal,' said the 32 year old. 'They created a lot of chances and it was hard but we showed a lot of spirit in the last 20 minutes and we battled back to get a draw. [LNB] Crocked: Cesc Fabregas will miss at least part of Arsenal's run in after he injured himself scoring a penalty against Barcelona on Wednesday night[LNB]'With it being 2-2 we have a lot better chance of getting through than we did when it was 2-0 but we'll have to change a bit and show more character and creativity and not give Barcelona the ball as much because when they get the ball they play good football and create many chances.'[LNB]Walcott's introduction prompted a shift in momentum as he picked up Nicklas Bendtner's pass to slot his finish past Victor Valdes to put Arsenal back into the tie. Defender Thomas Vermaelen believes Walcott could be the key to unlocking the Barca defence in the Nou Camp next week. [LNB]'Theo was very dangerous for us when he came on,' said the Belgian.
