Patrick Vieira says he has no intention of moving to move to the United States and hopes he has done enough to earn another season at Manchester City.

MLS chiefs have targeted Vieira among a wish list of veterans they want to tempt across the Atlantic.

But the 33-year-old, who joined City from Inter Milan in the January transfer window, is not ready to line up against the likes of LA Galaxy star attraction David Beckham.

'There are great opportunities for me to stay another year at Manchester City,' said Vieira.

City can take up the option of another season with the France international, but indifferent performances could lead them to look again at the likes of Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago.

Vieira is not the only former Arsenal player in the Americans' sights. Thierry Henry is expected to sign for the New York Red Bulls, while Robert Pires could move at the end of his Villarreal contract this summer.

Jens Lehmann and Real Madrid star Raul have also been linked with a lucrative career-ending pay days.
