Palermo have tried to scare off Manchester City, Arsenal and Barcelona by insisting they would not sell star midfielder Javier Pastore for even £50million.[LNB]The Italian club insist they have already turned down a bid of almost £22m from Real Madrid for the emerging Argentina star, but that has not stopped Pastore being linked to other European giants.[LNB] Dressed to impress: Pastore (right) has caught the eye in the pink of Palermo[LNB]Reports in Italy claim Barca have lodged their £35m interest in the 21-year-old as an alternative to signing Cesc Fabregas, while Arsenal and City have also been linked with the former Huracan player.[LNB]However, Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is in no mood to sell a player who has started the season so well and talks with Arab investors could strengthen his hand.[LNB]Asked whether Barca's £35m would be enough, Zamparini said: 'Not even for €60m (£50m), because I will still like to have a lot of fun with him.[LNB]'I don't want to make money through football. It doesn't interest me, so if I can I'll keep him. I didn't manage to keep (Edinson) Cavani, but I hope to do so with Pastore.'[LNB] Fabregas's path home to Barcelona blocked by move for PastoreRead Matt Fortune's brilliant World Football BlogARSENAL FC
