Manchester City and Arsenal are tracking Italy Under 21 defender Angelo Ogbonna. City sent scouts to watch the 6ft 2in centre-half play for Torino against Ancona earlier this month, only for Ogbonna to be deployed out of position at left back. His boss, Stefano Colantuono, believes the defender will be one of the strongest in Italy within a couple of years and it appears only a matter of time before he leaves Turin's Olympic Stadium following their relegation to Serie B. Arsenal, who have also been scouting Bari defenders Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Ranocchia, have been tracking Ogbonna for some time, according to reports in Italy. The 21-year-old faces the dilemma of who to pledge his international career to after being recently called up by Nigeria. Ogbonna says he is unaware of the English clubs' interest, but admitted he was flattered to be linked with the Premier League giants. 'People talk about those teams because I am told I will do well in that league and I am built for that league, but let's wait and see,' he said. 'I am happy in Torino at the moment, but teams like Arsenal and Man City are very big teams attractive to any youngsters.'
