Little Mozart can ensure a top 4 finish for Arsenal

It’s unlike Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger to extend a contract beyond a year for a player in his thirties. Even more unlikely, if the player has had a career plagued with injuries. But for Czech international, Tomas Rosicky (Little Mozart), Wenger ensured he would remain at Arsenal for a further two years and, duly explained the reasons behind the decision.

"I've always been a big admirer of Tomas's abilities and am delighted he's chosen to commit his future to the club," "I believe he is an exceptional player, a natural footballer who is technically top class. I have huge respect for him.

Rosicky joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2006. Now into his 6th season at the club, he has made 171 appearances for the Gunners scoring 20 goals.During his time at Arsenal, several injuries have subjugated him to have start-stop seasons. However, this has not dithered his commitment on the pitch. In 2011-12, Rosicky enjoyed a rare injury-free season, marking his highest appearances (38 in all competitions) for the club, scoring two vital goals against North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur & AC Milan.

While Robin Van Persie grabbed the headlines, little Mozart was instrumental in midfield. His will to compete from first minute to last, chase every lost cause and fight for the team has been a notable attribute of his game. One thing’s for sure, a fit Rosicky will surely have a starting berth in this Arsenal squad and, can once again propel the Gunners into the top four.
