Arsenal right-back Lauren does not expect to be back in action for at least another six weeks.
The Cameroon international has not played since undergoing surgery to repair a persistent knee injury in January.
"So far everything I have done is going well, the knee is responding well," the 29-year-old told the London Evening Standard.
"At the moment it is probably one and a half or two months maximum until I can play again."
Lauren may find he has to wait to return to Arsenal's first team even after he has regained full fitness, as Ivory Coast international Emmanuel Eboue made the right-back spot his own in the final three months of last season.
