Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is in talks with Arsenal to extend his managerial contract. He is already the longest serving manager in the Premiership. He took over at Arsenal in 1996.

The Sun reports that Arsenal’s Nicklas Bendtner is a target for Hull City’s Steve Bruce – if the move materialises it will see Bendtner and Bruce reunited after the Dane had a spell while Bruce was manager of Birmingham.

The Mirror has reported that Manchester City is closing in on a move for Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovich. If this moves comes off expect Edin Dzeko to be off to Spain, as Athletico Madrid have expressed an interest in the big Bosnian front man. Darren Bent has been linked with a move back up the North East, but this time with Newcastle United expressing interest. Spurs and Cardiff are both heavily linked with a move for Benfica’s Nelson Oliviera with Malky Mackay favourite to land the Portuguese. Spurs are also expected to finally make a move for Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke with a bid of around £20M.

Finally, Mohamed Al Fayed 16-year spell in charge of Fulham Football Club finally came to an end this week when he sold the club to billionaire Shahid Khan. Khan is no stranger to sports ventures and is currently also the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars in the National Football League (NFL).
