Lansbury appreciates opportunity

The 18-year-old winger's three-month stay with the Iron came to an end after Saturday's draw with Tranmere, meaning he will be unable to feature in the end-of-season play-offs. And while the England Under-19 captain regrets that he will not be able to assist Scunthorpe's promotion push as he returns to Arsenal, he is grateful for the chance they have given him. "The loan spell went really well," he told Scunthorpe's official website. "It's been a really good experience for me and I've learnt so much. "The best moment of my time was going to Wembley for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final against Luton but that was bittersweet because we lost. "It was great to be involved in the first-team squad as I haven't always had that at Arsenal. I think I settled in well and I hope I repaid the club with how I played."
