Arsenal director Stan Kroenke has taken his shareholding in the club to 29.6%, after buying a further £3.6million in shares at the Emirates.

The American billionaire, known as 'Silent Stan', is Arsenal's largest shareholder and is now just 0.3% shy of the level at which he would be forced to make an offer for the entire stockholding.

Kroenke appeared at Arsenal's general shareholders meeting in October, but declined the opportunity to speak and address his intentions for the club.

Kroenke already owns NBA franchise the Denver Nuggetts.
