A statement on the club's website revealed the 25-year-old will arrive in Milan to undergo a medical on Friday. Huntelaar is then set to sign a deal until June 2013 with the Rossoneri. Rossoneri chief officer Adriano Galliani also confirmed that a deal had been reached between the two clubs. He told Sky Italia: "The agreement has already been closed with Real Madrid. The Dutch player will be in Milan this evening (Thursday)." After a successful spell at Ajax, Huntelaar joined Spanish giants Real in January 2009, but fell down the pecking order after president Florentino Perez embarked on his second Galactico spending spree. New Milan coach Leonardo targeted the Holland international after negotiations for Sevilla's Luis Fabiano broke down. Tottenham, Arsenal and Stuttgart were all rumoured to be tracking the striker, but he is now set to finalise a move to the San Siro.
