Kieran Gibbs wants to prove Arsenal worth before he contemplates England chances

The left-back is pressurising the place of Gaël Clichy at Arsenal and is also in Fabio Capello's thoughts after excellent performances in both the Carling Cup this season and the European Under-21 championships during the summer. [LNB]His manager, Arsene Wenger, has said that he is ready for an international call-up, but Gibbs is well aware that Capello rarely picks any player for England unless he is playing regular club football. 'At the moment I don't really deserve to get a World Cup call because I have nowhere near the experience that a lot of the players do, and I've a great deal to prove yet. [LNB]'I've played a few games for Arsenal but still have a lot of work to do to earn a place I don't want to be called up because of someone else's disappointment, I want to be selected because I'm deserving of it.
