Julio 'The Beast' Baptista's agent savages Spurs New Year switch rumours

Julio Baptista's agent has brushed aside reports linking his client with a move to Tottenham in the winter transfer window.   [LNB]According to reports in Italy, Roma are keen on Spurs' wantaway striker Roman Pavlyuchenko and are ready to offer Baptista in return for the Russian.   [LNB]But Herminio Menendez said: 'There is no truth in these reports claiming he is set for an exchange in January.   [LNB] Struggling: Brazil forward Julio Baptista is finding his second season in Serie A for Roma tough going and endured a mixed season at Arsenal in 2006-07 (below)[LNB] 'Julio is currently away with the national side. Any possible discussion is postponed until the future.'[LNB] The former Arsenal forward has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico since the summer.
