Odd man out? Eduardo's spell at Arsenal could be coming to an end. if Joe Cole joins the club
Eduardo could be the man to make way for Joe Cole at Arsenal after Arsene Wenger confessed his interest in signing the England midfielder.
Wenger confirmed on Thursday that he is a big admirer of Cole, who has been released by Chelsea, although any move will hinge upon selling a player in asimilar position
Eduardo would be the favourite to leave the Emirates if Cole arrives and has attracted interest from Aston Villa. The Croatia forward has failed to recapture his best form since suffering a horrific broken leg at Birmingham in February 2008.
'I like him as a player because when he played against us he always did a lot of damage,' said Wenger, when asked about Cole.
'He can create impact through his creative play. He can dribble, he can pass, he can score goals.'
Wenger will compete with Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp for the signature of Cole, who is a free agent after his exit from Chelsea. The player insists he will not make a final decision on his next move until after the World Cup.
