LONG AND SHORT OF ITArsenal's team all wore long-sleeved shirts in the snow on Saturday. As well as being good judges in the plunging temperatures, it is also club policy for their players to all wear the same length of shirts. [LNB]The decision is down to the captain of the day, a policy first introduced by Tony Adams under George Graham. Smart idea.[LNB] ZOLA POWERWord reaches me that West Ham have a terrific technician who is the best player in training every day, scores spectacular goals and could be the answer to all their problems. [LNB]The only problem is the player is their manager, Gianfranco Zola. How they could do with him now. He's 43. I don't suppose he'd pull on his boots again?[LNB] Can we tempt you out of retirement? Gianfranco Zola[LNB] CAPTAIN MARVELIt must be a manager's dream to have Phil Neville battling for the cause. He was first class at Arsenal on Saturday and it's no surprise that Everton picked up a point with their captain back in the ranks.[LNB] He's a top player and a good lad. Watch the way he throws his body into blocks and is always driving on his team-mates.[LNB]SAME AGAIN, ALEXBirmingham have selected the same team for the last nine games and they are getting their reward, with a cub record run of 12 undefeated games in the top flight. [LNB]We've already mentioned the two excellent central defenders and the goalkeeper, Joe Hart, but Alex McLeish's team sheet provides proof that familiarity breeds success.[LNB]GAME OF THE WEEKENDThe snow might have been victorious in defeating the fixture list up and down the country, but even if every game had taken place, you would have struggled to find a better display than Nottingham Forest's 3-1 win at West Bromwich on Friday. [LNB]Billy Davies's team are the form side in the Championship and played with energy and class.[LNB] Next stop, Premier League: Nottingham Forest have surged up the Championship table under the guidance of Billy Davies[LNB]SUPER STELLINGEven without many games, Jeff Stelling and his team on Soccer Saturday still fill your living room with a top-class show. It can't beat getting to games, but it's not far off. It has revolutionised the way we watch football. [LNB]If you had told me watching someone else watching a game would make for good viewing, I'd have said you were mad.[LNB]KID OF FAMEThe last young player to come out of Cardiff who looked the part was Aaron Ramsey, and now there's another to keep an eye on in Wales.[LNB] Remember the name: Adam Matthews. [LNB]I'm hearing big things about the teenage defender and expect a few to start forming a queue outside Dave Jones's office soon. The Premier League clubs are watching.[LNB] West Brom 1 Forest 3: Jewel from Madjewski sinks hosts Albion in styleMatthews sparks transfer tussle as United and Arsenal track Cardiff kidArsenal 2 Everton 2: Gunners fall flat without A Song...and Arsene Wenger admits he knew midfielder would be missed[LNB]
