Inter Milan set to bid for Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt and Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas

Top target: Dirk Kuyt has been linked with Inter Milan[LNB]Rafa Benitez has asked his Inter Milan bosses to clinch some last-minute transfers before the window slams shut.[LNB]The Spaniard is keen to raid former club Liverpool for Dirk Kuyt and has also been linked with an ambitious bid for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas - though a move for either seems impossible to pull off today.[LNB]Benitez is already under pressure after losing the UEFA Super Cup to Atletico Madrid on Friday and then starting the Serie A season with a goalless draw at managerless Bologna on last night.[LNB]Respected Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport splashed withthe front-page headline, 'Inter, where are you?' after the game.[LNB]Jose Mourinho led Inter to victory in the Champions League, Serie Aand Italian Cup, but Benitez has bemoaned a lack of balance and wantsreinforcements.[LNB] He said: 'I've spoken with the president and (Inter technical director Marco) Branca. Although there isn't a lot of time, we hope to do something - otherwise in January we'll bring more balance to the team.' [LNB]Inter president Massimo Moratti, who bankrolls the club, turned to Benitez after other targets like Fabio Capello and Guus Hiddink turned down the San Siro hot seat this summer.[LNB] Ambitious: Cesc Fabregas could be the subject of a late bid from the Italian giants[LNB]Moratti has promised to help, but he countered: 'The squad is growing. We need to be patient, but in recent years the balance going into championship has brought us good luck. Do we need to buy? We are strong, but let's see if we can do something.'[LNB]Moratti has been dazzled by the revival of rivals AC Milan, who have signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic on loan from Barcelona and are in talks to do a similar deal for Manchester City forward Robinho.[LNB]'They have reinforced a very formidable attack,' said Moratti.
