The Switzerland international will start for Udinese against newly-promoted Parma on Sunday in what will be his third season with the Friuli stadium club. "I am absolutely not disappointed to have remained at Udinese," said Inler. "I still have a four-year contract and I am happy to be in Udine. "For me it is a great honour to play at Udinese." The 25-year-old Inler hopes his team can return to European football next season with Udinese having narrowly missed out on the continental competition with a seventh-placed finish in Serie A last term. "Our aim is to finish in the top six," he said. "But we have to take it one game at a time. "The team has remained more or less that of last season and hence, we have an advantage with respect to other teams in that we have the same coach and that we know each other well." The Bianconeri have strengthened their attacking line following the departure of striker Fabio Quagliarella to Napoli earlier this summer. Experienced forward Bernardo Corradi, a former Parma player, joined the Friuli outfit from Reggina, while 20-year-old Brazilian striker Jose Carlos Alemao has also arrived in Udine. With Udinese having kept last seasons top scorers Antonio Di Natale and Gaetano DAgostino, Inler believes his team have every reason to be confident. "We have a strong attacking line and Im sure the new players will do well," he said. "The aim of this group is to enjoy a good start and against Parma we want to clinch three points." Parma will keep faith with the same tactics which led them to a second-placed finish in Serie B last season and a return to the top flight. Former Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov is the new face at Parma alongside ex-Roma defender Christian Panucci. Parma are hoping to make one final signing in Empoli striker Nicola Pozzi. "He is a player we have monitored and we are negotiating with Empoli," said Parma owner Tommaso Ghirardi. Ghirardi is hoping the pre-season signings will help experienced coach Francesco Guidolin guide the team to safety this campaign. "I've asked Guidolin to guide the tis all I want. "We are a team that gained promotion and we cannot forget in which division we played last season." Ducale captain Stefano Morrone has urged his team-mates to start the campaign on the right foot with a win at Udinese. "We know the quality of Udinese but if we show the same determination and fighting spirit as we did last season, theres no reason why we cannot take a positive result in Friuli," he said. Guidolin is expected to play with a 3-5-2 formation with 19-year-old Alberto Paloschi, who scored 12 goals for the Ducale club last season, partnering Jonathan Biabiany in attack.
