Injury blow rocks Rosicky
20 Sep 2007 - 16:38:43
Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky will be out for a couple of weeks after damaging a hamstring in the 3-0 Champions League win over Sevilla.
The 26-year-old Czech Republic international limped out of the Emirates Stadium clash shortly after half-time to be replaced by Abou Diaby and now faces a fortnight on the sidelines.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger told the club's official website: "We have bad news on Rosicky because he is a player I like to have in the side.
"He has done his hamstring again. I don't know yet how serious it is, we have to wait 48 hours, but he will be out at least two weeks."
Rosicky himself added: "I don't know yet the seriousness of the injury, the doctors will tell me that on Friday.
"But when I felt a pull in the muscle, I knew immediately I had to leave the pitch."
