Adebayor could make his second-ever showing against the Gunners in Wednesday's Carling Cup quarter-final.[LNB]The Togo international caused a stir earlier this season after reacting to provocation by Gunners fans at the City of Manchester Stadium.[LNB]After coming under fire from his former fans he responded by racing the length of the field to celebrate his goal in front of the away end.[LNB]Adebayor received a £25,000 fine and a two-match ban suspended for a year for his provocative goal celebrations.[LNB]Despite the history between the striker and his former club, Hughes insists Adebayor will remain available due to his goal-scoring threat.[LNB]"There is no way he will not play as a consequence of what happened last time," explained Hughes. "We want him to play because of the huge influence he had. He scored a fantastic goal.[LNB]"What happened last time was well documented, but that is in the past now.[LNB]"He's found it a bit more difficult, but that is maybe more of consequence of opponents having a look at how we play and trying to stop our threat - which Ade is."[LNB][LNB] Man. City 10/11, Draw 5/2, Arsenal 3/1
