Hoyte inks Gunners deal
30 Apr 2007 - 08:37:58
Arsenal defender Justin Hoyte has pledged his future to the Gunners by penning a new long-term deal with the club.
The 22-year-old has benefited from injuries to Emmanuel Eboue and Lauren this season to play 34 first-team games for Arsene Wenger's side and is delighted with the new contract.
"Yes I've signed a new contract which is good for me and hopefully good for the club," he told the Gunners' official website.
"Now I have to keep working hard, even harder than this year. I have to keep pushing myself.
"I've played a lot of games which has been really, really good for me. I'm just loving playing, obviously being an Arsenal supporter too it's great.
"Hopefully now I've played a lot of games and I can push on and get games under my belt and win trophies with the club."
Hoyte spent last season on loan with Sunderland and made 30 appearances for the Black Cats as they were relegated from the Premiership.
