Hill-Wood: Fabregas is staying

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has once again insisted that club captain Cesc Fabregas will not be leaving the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Even though the 22-year-old is under contract with the Gunners until 2014, he continues to be linked with a host of European clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona and AC Milan.

Arsene Wenger and Fabregas himself have spoken repeatedly in the past that the Spain international is staying in north London, but that has not stopped the speculation escalating.

Hill-Wood has now added his voice to the argument, saying: "There is absolutely no chance of us selling Cesc and all this talk is just fabrication.

"This sort of thing crops up from time to time and it's something we're perfectly used to. Cesc is happy at Arsenal, as far as I'm aware."

Fabregas has scored 29 goals in 231 appearances for Wenger's side since making his Gunners debut almost six years ago.
