Henry seeks double miracle
02 Dec 2006 - 10:25:46
Arsenal captain Thierry Henry has admitted that his side need a "double miracle" to get back in the race for the Premiership title.
The Gunners have slumped to be 16 points adrift of Manchester United, with Henry accepting that Arsenal need a collapse in form by both the Red Devils and Chelsea to get back in the picture.
He told The Sun: "I will never give up on the championship as it is not in my mentality.
"If we were chasing one team, fine, but we need two teams to slip up, so there is less probability.
"I'll admit it, we need a double miracle. We need an amazing run and for both teams to have very poor runs.
"At the moment, it looks as though it won't happen, but we have to be there just in case it does."
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger also put on a brave face ahead of the north London derby against Spurs, adding: "I have great belief.
"At the moment it looks a little bit like maybe I do not know where I want this team to go, but they will get where I want them to go.
"But I am responsible, I do the job and I do it like I want to do. I know where I am going and I will do it my way."
