Arsenal captain Thierry Henry has called for Theo Walcott to be given time and has urged the club's fans not to expect too much from the teenage starlet.
Walcott, 17, has been thrust into the first team in recent weeks following a spate of injuries at the north London club.
But Henry doesn't believe too much should be expected from the speedy forward for club or country, despite Walcott's surprise inclusion in Sven-Goran Eriksson's World Cup squad last summer.
"One thing about Theo for all of us to remember is that he is only 17," said Henry.
"I know it is not easy because he is a great prospect for England, but I do think people have to remember he is 17.
"It is not an easy time when you are 17 - trust me, I was there. I was struggling at 17.
"Against Wigan, Theo had a great game. All of the opportunities we had in the first half were coming from Theo."
