Liverpool are clearly a club who revel in their own pain. Coming up short in the Barclays Premier League again in a trophy-less season is apparently not enough.
In a week when fans have to endure Manchester United fever as Sir Alex Ferguson's side head into the Champions League final and Everton crowing ahead of the FA Cup final, the club website came up with another reason not to feel cheerful.
Today is the 20th anniversary of Liverpool's Anfield defeat byArsenal, when Michael Thomas's famous winning goal snatched the titlefrom under their noses, and the club's official site has reminded their fansof what happened.
It must have been fun thinking that one up.
