Hangeland set to snub Arsenal as star eyes new long-term deal with Fulham

Solid: Hangeland has been in fine form for Fulham Fulham defender Brede Hangeland is ready to start talks over a new deal to extend his stay at Craven Cottage. Hangeland has established himself as one of the centre-backs in the Premier League since arriving from FC Copenhagen in January 2008 and Arsenal were keen to take the 28-year-old Norway international  to north London. Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson is desperate to hold on to the player and Hangeland told the Daily Star: 'We are hopeful we can sit down and work something out, and I am certainly very keen on that.'
