Gunners future excites Theo
11 Apr 2009 - 12:38:00
Theo Walcott believes the current Arsenal team is good enough to win some silverware this season and thinks the squad is on the verge of greatness.
The Gunners have been ravaged by injuries throughout the campaign but are poised to finish in the top-four of the Premier League once again, are in the FA Cup semi-finals and drew 1-1 at Villarreal in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League earlier this week.
Walcott's season has been marred by a shoulder injury, but he is excited by the thought of what could happen in the next seven weeks.
He told The Guardian: "People might want to move on if they aren't winning things but this year we're getting our players back fit, people are coming into their prime.
"You want to look back on trophies and Ryan Giggs is a great example. Hopefully, I can be like him. We've got a great chance this season to bring back something. I feel we're on the brink of something special."
