Chief executive Ivan Gazidis claims Arsene Wenger has the "unequivocal support" of the board and fully expects the Frenchman to remain Arsenal manager.
Wenger has faced criticism from some disgruntled fans and shareholders on the back of a fourth trophyless season.
The negativity has come at a time when Wenger has been linked with the coaching vacancy at long-time admirers Real Madrid.
But Gazidis is confident that Wenger remains the right man to lead the Gunners and he believes the long-serving manager will still be in the Emirates Stadium hot-seat when the new season begins.
"He is clearly staying. We've said that, he said that," Gazidis told The Sun.
"He has the full support, unequivocal support, of our board.
"We believe in the strategy we've embarked upon."
