Arsene Wenger tried to sign the Moroccan in he summer, but Bordeaux rejected their offer - along with rivals bid from West Ham and Sunderland.[LNB]Wenger remains keen, and speculation in France is again ride that Arsenal will make a new bid for Chamakh - following the injury to Robin van Persie.[LNB]Van Persie could miss the rest of the season with his ankle injury, and Arsenal could try to tempt Bordeaux with an offer - knowing that Chamak, who is out of contract in the summer, is free to move on a Bosman transfer at the end of the season.[LNB]But Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud is insistent that whilst the club are battling to retain their Ligue 1 title and are also still in the Champions League, they have no intention of selling.[LNB]"I have no news about that [Arsenal interest in Chamakh]," Triaud told L'Equipe. "Anyway, for us it is out of the question. [LNB]"Marouane is such a decisive player, while we have important challenges in Le Championnat and Champions League.[LNB]"If we miss our aims because he was sold, we would lose money too. Anyway we won't do anything against the wishes of Laurent Blanc [Bordeaux coach]."[LNB][LNB] Barclays Premiership. Click here to bet.
