Arsenal secured third place in the Barclays Premier League with a 3-2 victory at West Brom, whose manager Roy Hodgson said farewell in his final match before taking the England reins.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has Albion's second-choice goalkeeper Marton Fulop to thank for automatic Champions League football as he produced two woeful gaffes that led to Yossi Benayoun's fourth-minute opener and Laurent Koscielny's second-half winner.

In between the Baggies had impressed with their attacking play - Shane Long and Graham Dorrans on target before Andre Santos levelled for Arsenal on the half-hour.
