Arsenal moved back upto second place in the Barclays Premier League after a 2-1 win at Everton. Arsenal began on top and were inches away from taking the lead when Andrey Arshavin`s dipping volley flashed just wide of the post. But they went one better 10 minutes before the break when after Samir Nasri`s shot from distance was parried by Tim Howard, Arshavin teed up Sagna to fire powerfully home from a narrow angle. And the Gunners made a flying start to the second period and doubled their lead inside three minutes when Fabregas swept home from 16 yards after a fine passing move. Everton should have reduced their deficit eight minutes later when they got in behind the visitors` defence, but Jack Rodwell turned the ball over from a good cross by Steven Pienaar. Lukasz Fabianski was again called into action to palm away efforts from Pienaar and Saha, before the Toffees registered a consolation, Cahill slotting a home a loose ball.
