Gunners close to Koscielny capture

Arsenal look to be closing in on the capture of Laurent Koscielny after reportedly agreeing on a fee of nearly £10million with Lorient.[LNB] The Gunners have been tracking the 24-year-old defender all summer and they now appear set to finalise the signing.[LNB]Lorient returned to pre-season training this week, but they confirmed Koscielny would not attend as he was 'discussing the manner of his departure'.[LNB]The deal, which is set to be officially concluded on July 1, is worth €12million (£9.7million) according to French sources.[LNB]Arsene Wenger, who confirmed his interest in Koscielny earlier this month, has moved to bolster his defensive options as William Gallas, Mickael Silvestre and Sol Campbell are all out of contract at the club.[LNB]
