Gervinho aware of interest

Le Mans playmaker Gervinho has revealed that Arsene Wenger has been following his career for many years. The Ivory Coast international, 21, has produced a series of eye-catching performances in Ligue 1 this season. He has been linked with a move away from Le Mans and understands that Arsenal could be interested in bringing him in. However, Gervinho insists he is staying focused on his current club and will not pay much attention to transfer speculation. "I am aware of Wenger following me since the age of 17," Gervinho told skysports.com. "He is a great coach and when a great manager appreciates you it makes you feel confident enough to play at the highest level. "Arsenal? I don't want to repeat myself. At the moment I am here at Le Mans and all the links are in the newspapers." Gervinho admits it is also flattering to have been connected with a switch to Marseille. He said: "OM is a great club and I love their fans. To play at the Velodrome week in week out would be a fantastic feeling."
