Former Arsenal captain William Gallas will have a medical at White Hart Lane on Friday ahead of a move to Tottenham, acccording to reports.[LNB] Harry Redknapp has already confirmed his admiration for the 33-year-old, who left Arsenal when his contract expired at Emirates Stadium at the end of last season.[LNB]Italian giants Juventus and Panathinaikos are amongst a number of continental clubs to hold talks with the former Chelsea star.[LNB]But it now appears that Spurs could be ready to pounce for Gallas and talks are believed to be at an advanced stage.[LNB]Gallas is due to have a medical on Friday, with a view to completing a move to White Hart Lane over the weekend.[LNB]The former Chelsea centre-back's wage demands - reportedly £80,000 per week - were thought to have been behind his departure from the Emirates Stadium.[LNB]But they have not put off Redknapp, who said last week: "His wages aren't a problem. He has not been greedy at all.[LNB]"His people have rung up and we spoke about it."[LNB]Redknapp also shrugged off any controversy there could be from Gallas moving directly from Arsenal to Spurs,[LNB]The Spurs boss added: "He's been an Arsenal player but he was at Chelsea before that and playing abroad before he arrived there.[LNB]"It's not like we would be signing Tony Adams. He's a good player and he would be a very useful addition to our squad."[LNB]With Jonathan Woodgate still out with a long-term groin injury and captain Ledley King plagued by knee problems that have the potential to limit his playing time, Redknapp has been keen to bolster his defensive resources.
