Fulham keeper Schwarzer desperate for Brede to stay at Craven Cottage

Mark Schwarzer has urged Fulham boss Roy Hodgson to do all he can to keep Brede Hangeland at Fulham. Goalkeeper Schwarzer was the last line of a defence marshalled by Arsenal target Hangeland last season. The Gunners have been tracking the big Norway international and their need for a quality centre-half is more pressing now Kolo Toure has joined Manchester City and Philippe Senderos looks to be on his way. Hangeland is valued at around £15million but Schwarzer reckons he is worth more than money to the Cottagers. He said: 'It wouldn't surprise me that other clubs were showing an interest in Brede, because he's such a good player. But we've only got a small squad and you want to keep your best players, and Brede is one of our best players.'
